Toby’s Bio

Born and raised in the northern Adirondacks and raised in a musical family, Toby explored different musical instruments throughout childhood. His passion for jazz piano led him to study at the Purchase Conservatory where he studied piano, classical guitar, composition, and more. He freelanced as a bandleader in the NYC area, eventually becoming the music director of a touring backline service. A performance opportunity brought him to Maui, Hawaii where he founded a music school and recording studio. Toby recorded several orchestral suites of music for contemporary dance companies, film, etc. and also worked with Bob Rock (producer- Metallica, Michael Bublé, etc.), Willie Nelson, Wade Robson and many more. These opportunities led him to broaden his stylistic approach to music and eventually led him to tour internationally with LUZIA, the #1 selling big top show for Cirque du Soleil. Toby then ran away from the circus and join home, the scenic northern Adirondacks. He continues to work with musicians in Montreal, Maui and across the world.
